hand harvesting
Picking crops personally
Hand harvesting is the practice of gathering crops manually rather than by machine.
Workers pick fruits, vegetables, or other produce directly from plants, often because the crop is too delicate for mechanical harvesting or requires judgment about ripeness: Hand harvesting ensures the grapes aren't bruised.
The method is labor-intensive but preferred for premium products like wine grapes, berries, and specialty produce.
