Curls or ringlets
Hairlocks are strands or sections of hair, often referring to locks that hang down or have been cut and kept as keepsakes: She saved a few hairlocks from her baby's first haircut.
The term is somewhat old-fashioned, with "locks of hair" being more common in contemporary usage.
