A hair clipper is a handheld device with oscillating blades used to cut hair, typically shorter than scissors can manage.
Electric clippers are standard equipment in barbershops and for home haircuts.
They come with guard attachments of varying lengths: I use a number two guard on the sides.
Manual clippers, now rare, work by squeezing handles together.
