gun moll
Criminal's romantic companion
A gun moll is a gangster's female companion—typically his girlfriend or mistress.
The term evokes American organized crime of the 1920s and 1930s, when molls accompanied bootleggers and bank robbers.
The image suggests a glamorous but dangerous woman who knows her partner's criminal business: Bonnie Parker was the most famous gun moll of the Depression era.
