gun belt
Cowboy's waist gear
A gun belt is a belt designed to support the weight of a holstered firearm, typically made of thick, stiff leather or reinforced material.
Unlike ordinary belts, gun belts don't sag or twist under the weight of a pistol.
The term evokes Western imagery—cowboys and gunslingers with revolvers at their hips: He strapped on his gun belt and walked out to meet the sheriff.
