Grow ops is informal for grow operations—facilities where cannabis is cultivated, typically illegally or on a commercial scale.
The term emerged from law enforcement and news coverage of indoor marijuana farms: Police raided three grow ops in the suburbs.
Now also used for legal commercial cultivation operations in jurisdictions where cannabis is regulated.
