greyhound adoption
Retired racer rescue
Greyhound adoption is the practice of rehoming retired racing greyhounds as pets.
Racing greyhounds typically retire young—around four or five years old—and adoption programs place them with families.
The dogs are known for being calm, gentle, and surprisingly low-energy despite their speed: We got our greyhound through a rescue after he finished racing.
