greenlit
Given the go-ahead
Greenlit is the past tense of green-light, meaning to approve or authorize a project to proceed.
The term comes from traffic signals—green means go.
It's used especially in entertainment for productions that receive funding and permission to move forward: The studio greenlit the sequel after strong box office numbers.
Also spelled green-lit.
