grade levels
School year classifications
Grade levels are the stages of progression through a formal education system, typically numbered sequentially: What grade level is your daughter in?
In American schools, these run from kindergarten through twelfth grade, with grade level also indicating the academic standards expected at each stage: reading at grade level, math skills below grade level.
