gorier
Increasingly awash in blood
Gorier is the comparative form of gory, meaning more bloody or gruesome.
A horror film might be gorier than its predecessor, or a news report gorier than expected: The director's cut was even gorier than the theatrical release.
The word applies both to literal bloodshed and to vivid descriptions of violence.
