glugs

Noisy liquid swallows

Glugs is the sound of liquid pouring from a bottle or container in intermittent bursts: The wine glugs into the glass.

As a verb, to glug is to pour or drink with this sound: He glugged down half the bottle.

A glug is also an informal unit of measurement—a splash or pour: Add a couple glugs of olive oil.
