A glitter bomb is a prank device rigged to scatter glitter over someone when opened or triggered—often a booby-trapped package or envelope.
The tiny metallic flakes are notoriously difficult to clean up, making it a form of harmless but annoying revenge: Someone glitter-bombed her ex's car.
Activists have also glitter-bombed public figures as protest.
To glitter-bomb is to deploy such a device.
