A glass fuse is a small cylindrical electrical safety device with a glass body that allows visual inspection of the wire element inside.
When current exceeds safe levels, the wire melts and breaks the circuit, protecting equipment from damage.
The glass casing lets you see whether the fuse has blown: Check if the glass fuse is blackened or the filament is broken.
