ginhouse
Fiber separation building
A ginhouse is a building where cotton is processed through a gin—a machine that separates cotton fibers from seeds.
The term belongs to the rural American South, where cotton gins were central to the agricultural economy: The old ginhouse still stands at the edge of the property.
Sometimes written as two words: gin house.
