game mastering
Narrating tabletop adventures
Game mastering is the act of running a tabletop role-playing game—creating scenarios, controlling non-player characters, narrating events, and adjudicating rules.
The game master (GM, or dungeon master in Dungeons & Dragons) serves as referee, storyteller, and world-builder while players control their individual characters.
I've been game mastering for our group every Sunday for three years.
