future vision
Seeing what's ahead
Future vision is the ability to imagine or anticipate what lies ahead—a mental picture of possibilities yet to come.
Leaders are praised for their future vision when they can see beyond present circumstances to plan strategically.
The term also appears in discussions of technology and urban planning: The architect presented her future vision for the city center.
