full stop
British punctuation term
Full stop is British English for what Americans call a period—the punctuation mark ending a sentence.
The phrase also serves as emphatic punctuation in speech, signaling that a statement is final and not open to discussion: I'm not going, full stop.
Americans sometimes use period the same way.
