freesheets
Complimentary print publications
Freesheets are newspapers distributed without charge, funded entirely by advertising revenue.
They typically cover local news, entertainment listings, and community events, placed in racks at transit stations, shops, and street corners: I grabbed a freesheet on the subway.
The model thrived in urban areas before digital media undercut print advertising.
