follow shot
Lens trails subject
A follow shot is a camera technique where the camera moves to track a subject as they travel through a scene, maintaining focus on them while the background shifts.
The camera might dolly alongside, trail behind, or lead slightly ahead of the subject: The follow shot tracked her through the crowded marketplace.
The technique creates a sense of movement and keeps the viewer connected to the character's journey through space.
