foisting

Forcing upon others

Foisting is the act of imposing something unwanted on someone, typically through pressure or deception.

The word carries connotations of sneakiness—you foist inferior goods on unsuspecting buyers, or foist your opinions on people who didn't ask: Stop foisting your dietary beliefs on the rest of us.

What's foisted is rarely welcome.
