A fog lamp is a vehicle light designed to improve visibility in fog, rain, or snow.
Mounted low on the front or rear of a car, fog lamps cast a wide, low beam that illuminates the road without reflecting back off moisture in the air the way headlights do: Turn on your fog lamps—I can barely see the road.
