floating steps
Staircase without stringers
Floating steps are stairs designed to appear unsupported, typically cantilevered from a wall or mounted on a hidden structural frame.
The treads seem to hover in space without visible risers or stringers beneath them: The architect specified floating steps to maximize light in the stairwell.
The effect is minimal and modern, emphasizing open space and clean lines.
