fire staff
Flaming performance prop
A fire staff is a staff or baton with wicks at one or both ends, designed to be ignited and spun for performance.
Fire dancers manipulate the burning staff in flowing patterns, creating trails of flame: She practiced with her fire staff until she could do a full-body contact roll.
The art requires both physical skill and fire safety awareness.
