Where frets live
Fingerboards are the long, narrow strips on the necks of stringed instruments where fingers press strings to produce different notes.
On guitars, violins, and similar instruments, the fingerboard runs from the nut to the body.
A fingerboard is also a miniature skateboard operated with fingers—a toy for performing tricks on tabletops: He spent lunch break doing kickflips on his fingerboard.
