final walkthrough
Closing property inspection
A final walkthrough is the last inspection of a property before a real estate transaction closes.
The buyer tours the home to verify that agreed-upon repairs were completed, no new damage has occurred, and the property remains in the expected condition: We found a broken window during the final walkthrough and delayed closing until it was fixed.
The walkthrough typically happens within 24 hours of signing.
