fight response
Aggressive survival reaction
The fight response is a physiological reaction to perceived threat in which the body prepares for confrontation rather than escape.
Heart rate increases, adrenaline surges, and blood flows to muscles.
It's one half of the fight-or-flight response, the instinctive choice between standing ground and running: His fight response kicked in and he started swinging.
