fiction anthology
Gathered invented tales
A fiction anthology is a collection of short stories or novellas gathered in a single volume, typically organized around a theme, genre, or time period.
Anthologies may showcase multiple authors or collect works by one: a horror anthology, the complete short fiction of Flannery O'Connor.
They serve as surveys of a field or introductions to unfamiliar writers.
