farceur
Writer of absurdities
A farceur is someone who writes or performs farces, or more broadly, a joker or wag—someone given to buffoonery and practical jokes.
The word is French and retains a slightly literary or theatrical flavor in English: He fancied himself a farceur, but his pranks rarely landed.
