fan forums
Online discussion communities
Fan forums are online discussion spaces where enthusiasts of a particular subject—a TV show, video game, sports team, or celebrity—gather to share opinions, theories, and news.

The culture tends toward passionate debate, inside jokes, and encyclopedic knowledge of the subject matter.
