live albums
Captured concert recordings
Live albums are recordings made during concert performances rather than in a studio.
They capture the energy of a live audience, including crowd noise, stage banter, and spontaneous variations in the music.
Many bands release live albums to document tours or showcase songs that have evolved beyond their studio versions: Their live album from the '77 tour is considered definitive.
