fan comic
Unofficial illustrated continuation
A fan comic is an amateur comic created by fans using characters, settings, or storylines from existing media—TV shows, video games, movies, or published comics.
Fan comics range from faithful tributes to irreverent parodies to explorations of romantic pairings the original never depicted.
They circulate online and at conventions, existing in a legal gray area since they use copyrighted material without authorization.
She draws a fan comic about what happened to the characters after the show ended.
