faultiness

State of imperfection

Faultiness is the quality of being faulty—having defects, errors, or flaws.

The word applies to things that don't work properly or reasoning that doesn't hold up: the faultiness of the wiring, the faultiness of his logic.

It's the noun form you reach for when describing what's wrong with something unreliable or poorly made.
