fake news show
Comedy current events
A fake news show is a comedy program that parodies television news broadcasts, using the format of anchors, graphics, and field reports to deliver satirical commentary on current events.
Shows like *The Daily Show* and *Saturday Night Live*'s "Weekend Update" blend real headlines with jokes and mock-serious delivery: I get most of my news from fake news shows.
The genre often critiques mainstream media alongside the stories it covers.
