visual satire
Drawn social commentary
Visual satire uses images rather than words to mock, criticize, or expose foolishness—typically targeting politics, social norms, or public figures.
Political cartoons are the classic form, but visual satire extends to photography, film, advertisements, and memes.
The humor works through exaggeration, irony, or juxtaposition: The editorial cartoon depicted the senator as a puppet on corporate strings.
