fake account
Fraudulent online identity
A fake account is a social media or online profile created under a false identity, either with fabricated details or by impersonating a real person.
People create fake accounts for various purposes: trolling, harassment, scams, inflating follower counts, or anonymous posting they wouldn't attach to their real name.

Platforms actively hunt and remove fake accounts, though they proliferate faster than enforcement can keep up.
