evening performance
After-dark theatrical presentation
An evening performance is a show, concert, play, or other staged entertainment scheduled for the later part of the day, typically starting between 7 and 8 p.m.
Theaters often distinguish between matinee and evening performances, with the latter usually being the main or better-attended show: We got tickets for the evening performance since the matinee was sold out.
