eulogizer
Memorial speech giver
A eulogizer is someone who delivers a eulogy—a speech honoring a person who has died.
The term applies both to those who speak at funerals and, more broadly, to anyone who praises another lavishly: The senator's eulogizers gathered to mark his retirement.
The word carries a formal, somewhat elevated tone.
