epi pen
Anaphylaxis rescue device
An epi pen is a device for injecting epinephrine (adrenaline) to treat severe allergic reactions.
The spring-loaded syringe allows people without medical training to administer the drug quickly during anaphylaxis—a life-threatening response to bee stings, peanuts, or other allergens.
She always carries an epi pen in case of exposure.
EpiPen is a trademark, but the lowercase form has become generic for any epinephrine auto-injector.
