encashments
Converting to currency
Encashments are acts of converting something into cash.
The word appears most often in banking and finance contexts, where checks, bonds, or other financial instruments are presented for payment: The bank processes encashments within two business days.
British and Indian English use this term more frequently than American English, where "cashing" predominates.
