electric steering
Power-assisted vehicle control
Electric steering is a system that uses an electric motor rather than hydraulic pressure to assist the driver in turning a vehicle's wheels.
Also called electric power steering or EPS.
The system adjusts assistance based on speed—more help at low speeds for parking, less at highway speeds for stability.
Most modern vehicles use electric steering because it improves fuel efficiency and allows integration with driver-assistance features.
