egg relay
Careful balancing competition
An egg relay is a race in which teams compete by carrying eggs on spoons from one point to another, passing the egg to teammates at designated changeover points.
A staple of school field days and picnics, it tests steady hands and patience: We lost the egg relay when Jake dropped his egg at the final handoff.
