egg nog
Creamy holiday beverage
Egg nog is a rich, creamy drink made from milk or cream, sugar, and beaten eggs, traditionally spiked with rum, brandy, or bourbon.
It appears mainly during the winter holidays, served cold or warm with nutmeg on top: We always have egg nog at Christmas.
Also spelled eggnog.
