easy runs
Low-intensity training sessions
Easy runs are low-intensity jogs in distance running, typically done at a conversational pace to build aerobic base and promote recovery between harder workouts.
They make up the bulk of most training programs: I do my easy runs at about two minutes slower than race pace.
The term is standard in running communities and coaching literature.
