dust plume
Suspended particulate cloud
A dust plume is a visible column or cloud of airborne dust particles, typically rising from dry ground disturbed by wind, vehicles, or explosions.
Dust plumes can range from small trails behind a car on a dirt road to massive atmospheric events carrying desert sand across continents: Satellite imagery captured a Saharan dust plume stretching over the Atlantic.
