dry storage
Shelf-stable goods area
Dry storage is space for keeping goods that don't require refrigeration or special climate control—typically shelf-stable foods, paper products, or equipment.
In restaurant and food service contexts, it's distinct from cold storage or freezer space: Keep the canned goods in dry storage.
The term also applies to storing boats out of water rather than in a slip.
