doughnut holes
Round pastry bites
Doughnut holes are small, round pieces of fried dough—roughly bite-sized spheres sold as a snack or dessert.
The name suggests they're made from the center cut out when shaping ring doughnuts, though commercially they're usually made separately.
We grabbed a box of doughnut holes for the road trip.
