double images
Vision showing duplicates
Double images are visual duplications where a single object appears twice, slightly offset.
The term most commonly describes a symptom of vision problems—seeing two of everything due to eye misalignment or neurological issues: I've been seeing double images since the accident.
In photography and optics, double images result from reflections, lens defects, or improper exposure.
The phrase also describes any duplicated visual element: The wet pavement created double images of the streetlights.
