hidden faces
Unseen lurking countenances
Hidden faces are surfaces of a three-dimensional object that cannot be seen from the current viewing angle—the back of a cube, the underside of a table.
In computer graphics and technical drawing, hidden face removal determines which surfaces to display and which to omit, since rendering invisible faces wastes processing power.
The term also describes visual puzzles where faces are concealed within larger images: Can you find all the hidden faces in this picture?
