discerner
One who distinguishes
A discerner is someone who perceives or distinguishes things that aren't obvious to others—differences, qualities, truths, or meanings that require careful judgment to recognize.
The word often appears in religious contexts, where a discerner identifies spiritual realities or divine guidance: She was known as a discerner of spirits.
More broadly, any person with sharp perception or good judgment qualifies: a discerner of talent, a discerner of fine wine.
