deuces wild
Poker variant declaration
Deuces wild is a variant of poker and other card games in which twos (deuces) can represent any card the holder chooses, functioning as wild cards.
The phrase appears in the names of video poker machines and home game rules: We're playing deuces wild tonight.
By extension, it can signal that normal rules are suspended and anything goes.
